Details of the Instructional/U6 program
Costs for U6 will be $800 for the season, and will include a weekly game and practice. There will also be a $100 mandatory fundraiser raffle ticket that you will be obligated to sell.
Instructional hockey is typically for boys and girls ages 5-8 who have previously participated in some form of learn to skate program, and are ready to begin playing hockey, although no prior experience is required to register. Registration is also now open for parents who are interested in coaching U6 teams this coming season.
Practices will take place Saturdays late morning at Rockland Rink, starting in late September and will run through late March.
Games will begin in early October as well, and will run weekly through late March. All South Shore Eagles Instructional teams will play in the Bay State Hockey LeagueSunday mornings at the Bog in Kingston. Games will be played in compliance with USA Hockeys "ADM" (American Development model) which utilizizes age appropriate ice surfaces and specially designed nets.
Registration is not complete until payment is received in full. Space may be limited and will be allocated to those who complete the registration and payment first. If you are new to the South Shore Eagles, you will need to open the account on the website.
All participants need to register for USA Hockey/Mass Hockey AFTER April 1. You are responsible for the USA Hockey/Mass Hockey registration fees and will not be able to participate in South Shore Eagles activities until confirmation of registration. After registering at www.usahockeyregistration.com you must input the USA confirmation number into the South Shore Eagles web site in the space provided in your account.
